You can check hall availability on the calendar and make a booking here. We also have a set of guidance notes for hirers to help you make full and safe use of the hall.
Hourly Hire Charges
Toller Porcorum village hall has two spaces for your event – the main hall and a committee room. You can hire either or both.
- Main hall – £10 / hour
- Committee room – £8 / hour
- Combined hire – £15 / hour
Discounted hiring rates apply to Toller and Hooke residents:
- Main hall – £8 / hour
- Committee room – £6 / hour
- Combined hire – £12 / hour
Hire of the main hall includes tables and chairs, use of the kitchen, stage, Wi-Fi, sound system and computer projector. Committee room hire also includes the kitchen. Use of the kitchen includes use of the kitchen utensils, crockery and cutlery in unlocked drawers / cupboards. You are welcome to use the two 8-seater picnic tables located on the flat area at the rear of the hall. If you would like to use the brick-built barbeque, there is an additional £25 hire charge.
Hire does not include heating. Meters (£1/£2 coins) are in the cupboard in the lobby. The power sockets in the kitchen and committee room as well as cookers are also on a meter.
Depending on the nature of the booking, a damage deposit of up to £100 may be required. This will returned within 7 days of the end of hire if no damage has been done, the hall is clean and all rubbish removed.
Barbeque Hire
The barbeque can be hired alongside a hall booking. You will need to supply your own charcoal and firelighters. You are NOT required to empty the tray or clean the grill after use. This is included in the hire charge (£25). Use of the barbeque is subject to you following our safety rules.
Additional Notes
All persons wishing to hire the facilities must agree to the Booking Terms (PDF file) prior to their booking.
The hall is authorised for live and recorded music, dance and other forms of regulated entertainment including plays and films. It is licenced from 10am-midnight, Monday to Saturday and from 10am to 11pm on Sunday. Please ensure that any hire finishes 30 minutes prior to these times and that the car park is cleared within 30 minutes.
If you are going to supply or sell alcohol at the hall, you must complete a temporary event notice (TEN) with Dorset Council.
The hirer is responsible for their own set-up. The hours booked and ultimately charged for must include setting up and clearing away time.
The hirer must ensure that the Hall is thoroughly cleaned to the level it was in at the start of the hiring, and that all rubbish is taken away by 10 AM the following day. If not done, the cost of rectifying these will be charged to the hirer or taken from any deposit paid.
